To showcase this synergy, Robert Wong, Vice President of Google Creative Lab, shared compelling examples of how he and his team harnessed AI tools developed by Google Research:

– They piloted an experimental AI-Reply tool, powered by PaLM 2 and MakerSuite, to draft responses to user comments on YouTube as part of a social campaign called Best Phones Forever. These draft responses, crafted in the campaign’s friendly voice, are subsequently evaluated, selected, and edited by a human community manager.

– They employed StyleDrop to generate distinct and creative logos and icons aligned with the Google Android brand’s style.

– They utilized DreamBooth to train a model on individual images, producing personalized selfies that seem limitless.

These demonstrations underscored a crucial point: AI’s most remarkable outcomes spring forth not in isolation but in tandem with individuals who bring curiosity, creativity, and compassion to the table. It is not AI alone but the humans behind it that form the essence of this equation.
